Subject:
Who is MV's ideal client?
Message:
Of course, large corporations with multiple marketing departments and recurring budgets are good for business. But, in companies big and small, the people who are closest to the field (customer) make the best clients. These include field marketing managers, program managers, project managers, and sales people. They have a stronger sense of urgency than people in corporate marketing. Field people have real deadlines and their necks are on the line. They like the "valet service" that MV offers.
Moreover, since their focus is on their client, they are more likely to let Marketing Valet "run with it," including making creative decisions. This speeds up projects and brings in more revenue in a shorter period of time.
By contast, people in corporate marketing are more prone to analysis paralysis, brand policing, and other delays. We've had projects that were supposed to take weeks end up taking months becuase of red tape on the client end.
So, the moral of the story is to build relationships not just with higher ups, but also with the people in the field.
